Country Lake Estates Homeowners Association, an Illinois not-for-profit Corporation was formed in 1973. Country Lake is located in Athens, IL between the cities of Petersburg and Springfield in Central Illinois.
The lake is large enough for fishing and kayaking, but rural enough to provide a relaxing quality of life to its residents. Lake use is restricted to families of homeowners and lot owners (along with their guests.)
